LOOKING AFTER YOUR FRESH TATTOO.

AFTER CARE TO DO LIST
Aftercare is the most important part of getting a realistic black and grey tattoo. As there are no solid lines holding it together and important details that bring the piece to life, it is a must that you are careful with how you look after it. Please use the steps below to insure that your tattoo heals at it’s best.
Remove cling wrap an hour or two after session.Wash the tattoo gently with warm soapy water (preferably Dettol hand soap or fragrance free antibacterial soap)Dab dry with paper towel and let it air out for one hourApply thin layer of (Bepanthen if in Australia or Aquafor if in USA) (Applying a thin layer is extremely important. Over creaming throughout the healing process can damage the tattoo). I recommend twice a day, morning and night. If, during the day your tattoo is starting to feel very dry, apply another layer. For the first two nights, before you go to bed, wrap the tattoo with cling wrap. Remove first thing in the morning and wash thoroughly with warm soapy water and repeat step 3 and 4.After 4-5 days the tattoo will start to flake. It is important to not picked at the flakes and to cream it gently during this process. Still continue to cream it minimally. During this stage, it will become itchy do not scratch it.After the tattoo has completed the flaking stage, continue to cream it once a day for the next couple of days.
DO NOT:
Do not do anything that's going to soak the tattoo eg. Swimming pools, baths, Do not scratch/ itch the tattooDo not expose healing tattoo to the sunDo not keep the tattoo wrapped longer than recommendedDo not over cream your tattooDo not let any dirt or dust come in contact with your tattoo
